Gathersense

Drafting

Your playbook, in every draft.

Gathersense assembles a first draft from your firm's own clauses and templates, ready for you to refine. A starting point, never finished work.

The problem

The blank page is the slow part.

A first draft starts from the same clauses every time, but the lawyer rebuilds it by hand, or copies an old one and hopes it was current.

What it does

Start every draft from your own templates, not a blank page.

A first draft assembled from the firm's own clauses, not from a generic model.

Drafting that reflects the firm's templates, fallback positions, and red lines.

Matter facts filled in where the template calls for them.

A starting point that saves the blank-page hour. The lawyer stays the drafter.

How it works

From template to first draft.

The clause library, the templates, and the playbook that power review also power drafting.

  1. 01

    Pick the template

Your firm's own template, not a generic form. An NDA, a services agreement, a filing.

  2. 02

The draft assembles from your clauses

Preferred positions come from your clause library, with fallbacks one click away and the playbook applied throughout.

  3. 03

    Matter facts fill in

The template pulls the parties, dates, and terms it needs from the matter, so the draft arrives already grounded in the deal in front of you.

  4. 04

    You refine and sign off

The draft is a starting point, never finished work. Every part records the clause and playbook version that produced it.

8. Confidentiality

Each party shall keep confidential all Confidential Information received from the other and shall use it only for the purposes of this Agreement.

The obligations in this clause survive termination and continue for three (3) years from the date of disclosure, save for trade secrets, which remain protected without limit of time.

From your clause library · 5.3 Confidentiality, preferred

Three-year survival with a trade-secret carve-out is your preferred position. The fallback (5.3a, two years) sits one click away if the counterparty pushes.

Keep preferred Use fallback 5.3a

Every clause records the template, clause, and playbook version that produced it.

In the product

The firm's knowledge, doing the assembling.

Pick a template, and Gathersense assembles a draft from your firm's own clauses, with the playbook applied and the matter facts filled in. You refine it and sign off.

A first draft from your own templates

Playbook-aware

The firm's standards shape the draft, so it starts from your positions rather than a model's defaults.

Your fallbacks, one click away

Preferred positions lead the draft. When the counterparty pushes, the fallback from your clause library is at hand, not in someone's memory.

Traceable by construction

Every part of the draft is traceable to the template, clause, and playbook version that produced it.

Yours to refine

The draft is a starting point, not finished work. The lawyer edits and signs off, always.

A record of what produced it

Which template, which clauses, which playbook version. The provenance of the draft is part of the draft.

Governed and secure

The firm's standards by default.

See security & compliance

The draft uses the firm's clauses and the firm's standards, not a model's defaults. The knowledge stays inside the firm, in the templates, not in one person's head. Every part of the draft records what produced it.

  • Every part of a draft records the clause and playbook version behind it.
  • The firm's templates stay the firm's. No training on your data.
  • The lawyer edits and signs off, always.

In practice

The drafts that come up every week.

Not moonshot documents. The steady work where consistency pays.

The NDA that goes out today

Assembled from your standard positions in less time than it takes to find the last one you sent.

First drafts of filings

An application or a filing assembled from the firm's own templates, inside the case's matter, with the facts already in place.

Templates that keep the firm's knowledge

A partner's preferred positions live in the clause library, not in one inbox. The knowledge survives the org chart.

Consistency across drafters

Ten lawyers, one starting point. The variation left in the work is judgment, not memory.

Who it's for

Built for the lawyer and the function.

For the lawyer

The blank-page hour, saved. The draft starts from your own clauses, and you stay the drafter.

For the function

Consistency across drafts and drafters, with the firm's knowledge kept in the templates.

Where it's heading
